| Plate technology : | |
| SRX Ni-Cd batteries use sintered/plastic bonded technology plates. This technology, developed for rail applications, brings together a sintered positive electrode and a plastic bonded negative electrode (pbe): the very strong positive plate provides very high performance thanks to a perforated steel strip on which nickel powder is sintered. The plates are insulated by means of microporous separators allowing the electrolyte to circulate. This design provides numerous advantages in terms of power, volume, weight and cyclability. | |
